Teaching our students about the environment and how they can care for it is given great focus in our school.
At St Martin's, our environment is import to us. Students learn about, and promote, sustainable practices through their actions and with the integration of sustainability into the curriculum.
To make our school a greener place, we promote a connectedness to nature through environmental projects and transformed spaces. Our programs empower students to help nature thrive and for students to learn how to care for the environment by becoming responsible global citizens.
Our Sustainability Officer plays a vital role in promoting environmental awareness and implementing sustainable practices by working closely with the National Resource Management (NRM). Students learn about waste generation and reduction, recycling, composting, food cultivation and harvesting.
Our ‘Call to Ecological Conversion and Action School Environment Management Plan’ (SEMP) outlines our commitment to be moral, compassionate and ecologically aware citizens at St Martin’s Catholic Primary School.
