Leadership News

Greetings!

As we begin our decent to the end of the 2019 school year, there are few reminders we need to give you:

This Friday, 29th November, is our School Concert. ALL students are expected to attend this celebration of the Performing Arts at St. Martin’s. Our Semester 2 Visual Arts students will also have work on display this evening. Gates will be open from 5:30pm for you to access the BBQ for dinner. We will also have coffee, ice blocks, cool drinks and chips for sale at this time. Students need to be here by 6:30pm as the concert will begin at 7:00pm sharp. Students sit with their families and will be instructed to join their class teacher just prior to their performance. Due to a recent change in Liquor licencing, this will be a NO ALCOHOL event. You are welcome to bring a picnic dinner or snack to enjoy during the concert. We also invite you to bring a picnic rug or chairs to sit on.

First Week of Advent

Matthew 24:37-44 Stay awake, you must be ready.

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew

Jesus said to his disciples: ‘As it was in Noah’s day, so will it be when the Son of Man comes. For in those days before the Flood, people were eating, drinking, taking wives, taking husbands, right up to the day Noah went into the ark, and they suspected nothing till the Flood came and swept all away.  It will be like this when the Son of Man comes.  Then of two men in the fields one is taken, one left; of two women at the millstone grinding, one is taken, one left.

‘So stay awake, because you do not know the day when your master is coming.  You may be quite sure of this that if the householder had known at what time of the night the burglar would come, he would have stayed awake and would not have allowed anyone to break through the wall of his house.

Therefore, you too must stand ready because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.’

Free Hearing Test for School Children

'An estimated 1 in 10 school children suffer from hearing loss, which left undetected can lead to speech, learning and behavioural problems.

The Sound Scouts hearing check is a simple way to identify if a child has a hearing issue, including listening difficulties in noise.  The test incorporates the science of a hearing test in a fun interactive game.  Evidence based, accessible and delivering immediate results, it's the perfect screening solution.

The Sound Scouts App is now free to test all Australian school-aged children.'
